maximum quantity allowed

Posted: October 11, 2011 at 12:28 PM Quote #51178
Hey guys -

seems when i go to add items to the cart, it get this message:
The maximum quantity allowed for purchase is 0

If i try to "add to cart" without changing the quantity to 1 it says:
The quantity must be from 1 to 9999

Anyone else ever have this issue? I sure hope it's an easy fix. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks a bunch in advance for any info you can provide.

- In admin>configuration>setting>Shopping cart settings  make sure you have:
Maximum shopping cart items: 1,000 (or NOT cero)

- Make sure that ShoppingCart.MaximumQuantity string resource value has not been altered it must be:
English   ShoppingCart.MaximumQuantity  The maximum quantity allowed for purchase is {0}.

Thank you for the response.

Under the Admin section, under, Configuration, i have these options:
global settings
email accounts
blacklist
payment
tax
shipping
location
measure
activity log
access control list
all settings
sms providers
third-party integration

i don't see a Shopping Cart option. i'm using version 1.9 - does that matter?

For v 1.9 you find "Maximum shopping cart items" in admin>configuration>global settings>Products tab

okay, i made that change,  i believe. This is the error i see now.  here is the list on my admin page under global settings, products. I'm not sure where to find that other item you mentioned.

"- Make sure that ShoppingCart.MaximumQuantity string resource value has not been altered it must be:
English   ShoppingCart.MaximumQuantity  The maximum quantity allowed for purchase is {0}."

I do still see this error: The maximum quantity allowed for purchase is 0.

What am i doing wrong?

You find ShoppingCart.MaximumQuantity in admin>content management>localization>English: page 37 (almost at the botom).
Nevertheless I dont think the problem is there. Have you done any alterations to the code?
If you want PM me and give me access to your shop and admin and I will try to check it myself
