I also have a question about ACL of a product. I am looking for an option (if there is such):
Example Take 1 product with a SKU and a price + 3 photos Make this product for a regular customer and a special customer. That both customers will see that product - but each will see what he is suppose to see.
Is it possible to take one product and make it for both customers? Regular customer sees: Price - X SKU - A Pictures - 1,2,3 Special customer sees: Price - Y SKU - A Pictures 6,7,8
How are you differentiating between the regular customer and the special customer? Assuming you're using Customer Roles, then you can give the special customer a different price by using Tier Prices.
Unfortunately, there is no way (that I know of) to show different pictures based on Role. Therefore, to solve that issue, I'd consider creating 2 different product records. You can use the Product ACL to show one product for the Regular Customer and the other product for the Special Customer. Sku can be duplicated or you can add a suffix to the sku (ie. 1234-A and 1234-B).

Well, There is a customer role and I am using the tier price right now, To make the difference.
But, I didn't want to make a duplicate because, the data will overweight the database. Make it run slower. Also, if I change the SKU with a suffix - I need to open this product in the register as well.
Maybe it is something(picture issue) that can be done by re-programming the interface...?
I have version 3.9, and there's no ACL for products/categories. For some reason I can't browse any product/category because it asks me to login, even though I'm logged in. Any idea?
