Help Needed - Do I need an upgrade? To set ALT tags manually?

Hi I am new to using NopCommerce although I have worked with it for a few weeks now but I am wondering, is there a way of uploading product images where I can add in the ALT tag manually ?

Any suggestions is greatful

1.9 is quite an old version - if you are new to nop and just starting out, why not try out the latest version

no there's not a way to edit the alt tag of individual images. by default, the store uses the product name. (same in the current version)

If i remember correctly, the default setting uses 'picture of - '   before the product name - it is possible to remove/edit this in the resource string found in admin--> localisation
