Back in stock subscriptions for product attributes

Hello,

Does anyone know of a way of enabling back in stock subscriptions when managing a product variants stock by product attributes?

The product attributes option must be used by lots of NopCommerce users I'm sure because how else can you sell something like an item of clothing that is available in multiple sizes and colours?

I'd really appreciate some help if anyone has any insight.

I tried to vote for this one at the link but it wouldn't let me (project is read-only). Would really like to see this one. Doesn't make sense not to have it for simple products and not for product attributes, considering the customer doesn't really see them as being fundamentally different.
