Prestashop 1.5.6 + 1.6 to NopCommerce 3.4 migration application coming up

I am currently using the Migration software to migrate my prestashop to the new NopCommerce platform. I'll be fixing minor bugs during this migration. After the migration is completed the software will become available for download in the new Nop-shop.

I've started the development of a spin-off of this migration tool: a desktop application to manage the catalog without the need for the webinterface.

PrestaShop 1.5.6 to NopCommerce 3.40 Migrator is now available for download from:

http://www.actopus.com/nl/prestashop-migration-tool

Make sure you download and install the software using Internet Explorer. Chrome of Firefox will not accept the installation and complain.

Is the tool update to date for importing into nop 3.8?   How about supporting a Prestashop 1.6.1.0 site?

No, the tool was a one-off development used to migrate our prestashops to nopcommerce 3.4. We have no intention to update the tool to support other versions.

That's certainly a good idea. I've got the source code here. I do need to get it compiled as it gave some compilation errors

However, don't expect DI, IoC, Automapper.

No no, that's not the case. But this code was developed as a one-off discardable piece of software. It was used to migrate our prestashops to nopcommerce 3.4.

DI, IoC and all that new stuff presented something magical and odd to me at that time. (coming from a Smalltalk platform)
