hello,

My SSL provider says I need to update my nop commerce websites (v1.9) to use SHA-2 hashing algorithms instead of SHA-1.

Are there any technical updates I need to make to my NOP 1.9 platform for this to work, or will it automatically work if updated?

Thank you for your time.

Hi All,

We have a website already in nopCommerce 1.9.We want to upgrade the site from 1.9 to latest version 3.40.We will plan to use "Traction" theme in our website. We are going to complete migration for new look and theme. We want our 1.9 version database and images.

Could you please advise me on this below.

1.For upgrading Database from 1.9 to 3.4.Is it enough to run database upgrade scripts in our database i.e executing 2.00 DB upgrade scripts in 1.9 DB and executing 2.10 DB upgrade scripts in 2.00 etc.

2.Is it required Install 2.00 nopcomerce pakage, then 2.10 nopcommerce etc.

I am new to this upgrade. Kindly help me on this.

Comments / Answers:

1) Yes

2) No - You can simply run the upgrade script against your database
(I believe in 2.0 upgrade folder, there are intructions something like "Read Me" or similar that explains steps for upgrading because that is the crucial step as 2.0 is the first MVC version after webforms)

Please feel free to ask any questions if you face any issues while upgrading process :)

Please keep the same question in one topic only. I already replied you back here: https://www.nopcommerce.com/boards/t/14551/getting-started-installing-and-upgrading-nopcommerce.aspx?p=18#134317

Also, did you follow the instructions mentioned in the 2.0 upgrade folder "Read Me" (like I mentioned before)?
