Version 3.60 : No data displayed in Admin area

When I go into the administration area, no data gets displayed. I am not able to see product list, categories or anything else.
It seems that data is not being fetched from the database and an empty model is returned to the view.

Anyone else facing the same issue ?
I have not made any changes. I just downloaded the new version and installed with sample data.
It works fine in version 3.50.

I am getting this issue after upgrading a test copy of my shop from 3.5 to v3.6.

I have done the following:

- Done a clean, fresh install of v3.6, no issues.
- Created a copy of my 3.5 store, run the upgrade script, and copied the v3.6 files over.  There are no issues on the public storefront, but the Admin pages do not display dashboard stats, and I cannot get access to categories, products, customers, orders, promotions, topics or message templates.  I cannot access the system log.

Whenever I try to access these, I get the following image on screen, endlessly spinning around.

I can add Attributes, but I can't browse existing attributes.  I can create forums, but again I can't view existing forums.  I can change settings ok.

I have re-copied the files from the clean 3.6 install to the upgraded install, where all this is working, no change.  I therefore think the problem is in the database - something has gone wrong with the upgrade script.

Has anybody else experienced these issues?  What can be done to resolve them.  Do you need me to provide a link to a backup copy of the upgraded database?

Whilst this is not a critical error, I am hesitant to upgrade my live shop until I can get the test shop running properly.  This is a shame, as the new DefaultClean theme is amazing, and I would really like to be able to use it.

Regards,

David.

At first I was trying to open the admin pages on the upgraded shop in Firefox.  I have now tried opening these pages in Internet Explorer and Chrome, after seeing it working properly on my Ipad (Safari).

Surprise surprise, it worked.  I can do everything I want to do, in both Chrome and Internet Explorer, but not in Firefox.

This is very strange - as the admin pages for the 3.6 clean install worked in Firefox, but not for the website that was upgraded from 3.5.

Thoughts?

Alarya, have you tried using other browsers to open your Admin pages?

I have been using updated chrome only. It doesn't work there for me. Will try other browsers just in case.
Database connectivity seems fine to me as I could add new products and see them in the public store. Can there be a problem with Kendo ? Since that is the tool which fetches all the data to be displayed in the admin area.

It's working properly in Internet explorer. That's strange !

Well at least we now know there is nothing wrong with the website or database, otherwise any problems would be common to all browsers.

I have tried running my admin pages on Firefox, on another very similar PC.  Both Acers, both running Windows 8.1 Update and both having the latest version of Firefox.  One works, one doesn't.  Yet my admin pages for my clean install are working everywhere.

I am thinking that there is some piece of browser functionality that an install upgraded from 3.5-3.6 uses, that a clean 3.6 install doesn't, and there is a problem with this piece of browser functionality on Chrome on your PC, and in Firefox on my PC where my upgraded install isn't working.

Ahh !! the good old cache problem !!! cleared it .. works fine now !

Thanks for your input. It did help me zero down what could be the possible cause.

Oh wow, look at that.  me too.

I did not know that certain content in the internet cache could interfere with the running of admin pages on upgraded nopCommerce sites...

I will remember that in the future.
