Nop Installation on server or just publishing with connection string embedded!

Hi all.
Do I need to execute install process on hosting server?

How about to copy the settings.txt file as the connection string in App_data folder after publishing and transfer the published files to server?

I done it on locall IIS and it seemingly works well.

What kind of problems it can cause?

Hello I have uploaded this way many times.
You will also need to restore the local db to the server make sure the sql server, user and pass are set in you settings.txt file and you should be set.

yes you can set the connection string on setting.txt but you have to make sure that db is accessible so it will start working
