I see you can have different themes for each store if you set up multiple stores. If each store has different products, can a customer add products from store 1 to the shopping cart, then go to store 2 nd add some products and go to the checkout on any of the stores and ALL items (from all stores) can be paid for and processed in any of the checkouts?

I want to be able to make specific stores for items but allow one checkout. For example, a dog food store and cat food store. The stores can have a link to each other and share the cart.
