Hi Andrei, what does it mean? That configurations of all plugins can be different from une customer role and another? So I can have shipping fares different from customer role A and B? And PayPal can be available only for Customer role A? If so it sounds great! Will it be implemented in 3.80?
No. It means that some plugins could be available to some customers role and some won't. For example, PayPal payment plugin will be available for vendors only. But it doesn't incude configuration (settings) per customer role
That'fine, but doesn"t solve the problem. What about different shipping costs between customer roles? Or free shipping above X, where x are different betweend end users (role A) and resellers (role B)?
I use two: 1) ShippigByTotal for domestic, as we sell flat rate up to 80 Euro, above shipping is free 2) ShippingByWeight for UE countries. Free shipping is above 150 Euros, ruled by shippingsettings.freeshippingoverxvalue setting.
Now we are introducing Resellers role, so the above should be only for Registered users. Resellers will have different ShippingByTotal rates.
Besides, we use reward points. But reward points are intended for end users (registered), not for resellers. This is another anoying matter to solve.
...Resellers will have different ShippingByTotal rates...
Yes, what you desire goes beyond the workitem's "manage access to plugins per customer role". You need to modify ShippingByTotal plugin so that Customer Role is one of the criteria.
Exactly, that's what I mean. Both shipping and payment plugins should have this facility. At the end, they rule the most important steps in an ecommerce site, permit sales and checkout. If you can't checkout properly, you choose another software.
