I'd like to suggest a simple interface be added for managing Featured Products.
As it is, admins must search for and navigate to edit each product which is currently featured.

I think it would be helpful to have a simple list of all product names (with paging) and checkboxes, with a SAVE button to allow bulk selection/de-selection of featured products.
When opened, the list should have the products which are currently featured be listed first, and pre-checked.

Alternately, you guys may prefer to just extend the current "Bulk Edit Products" screen to have an additional column for "Featured", allowing in-line selection/de-selection.

Hi,

Thanks! Do you mean "Shown on the home page" or "Featured in categories/manufacturers"?

That's a good point...but I was just talking about the "Shown on the home page" featured products. Many plugins allow for admins to have many featured products on their home page or on other widget zones on other pages by using sliders. If an admin has 30-40 different products featured, it becomes tedious to watch the slider and take note of every product which is currently featured...then go into each of those product's edit screen to make the changes.

I think the existing interface for managing which products are featured within categories/manufacturers is more than adequate. It already has in-line selection/de-selection of "Is featured product."

Yes, I can use SSMS to query the database for a list of Products which are currently featured in order to speed up the process, but it is still very clunky...it would be good to have not only the concise list of currently featured products, but also a method for changing many products from featured to un-featured (or un-featured to featured) while on one screen. It would be very useful, and I think not too difficult to implement.
