Developer need to create a dynamic category filter for my printer website

HI there
i sell printer cartridges
my nopcommerce site will have 3 levels of categories to enable a customer to locate the correct model of printer

ie

Printer make
Printer family
Printer model number


I would like to create a drop down category selector example  seen here:  http://www.cartridgesave.co.uk/

its a bit like this offering bit will not use attributes only the category structure and the layout should be much better.
