I am running V3.80. I have a number of products that I am trying to load into the system using code rather than importing a spreadsheet, so that we can handle updates on a scheduler every night.
Everytime I create a new product I get "Page Not Found" when I click on the details.
Does anyone know what needs to be set to do this? I am doing the following:
1) Add the product record 2) Add the product category mapping record(s) 3) Add the URL record 4) Add the product picture mapping record.
Are there crazy characters that throw things off in the URL record? I'm really getting frustrated and need some help here.
Is there a way to do this programatically? I'm looking at doing this daily, and having to clear the cache everytime is something I would like to build into the process.
I'm also noticing now that clearing the cache doesn't work. The only way it works is going into the product and then editing the source code of the description by opening the tools, then hitting save without changing any of the HTML. Any thoughts?
