Would like to learn if reward points earned in www.store1.com can be used to redeem for items in www.store2.com?
Items featured in www.store1.com will be payable only with credit cards. Reward points earned in www.store1.com can only be redeemed in www.store2.com.
Items featured in www.store2.com can only be redeemed via reward points earned from www.store1.com
Please advise.

Yes, please check the documentation and the link I provided above (in advanced mode). In the multi-store environment you can have them in different servers as long as they are all linked to the same DB in one of the servers.
