Tax Configuration

I've got my tax set up so it should charge 15% for New Zealand (where we are based) and every other country we ship to is 0%. I've put the countries in the backend with the relevant tax that applies to each country. In my shopping cart it shows 15% and the amount for New Zealand shipping addresses which is correct. When I put in a different country it says 0% tax which is correct but the tax amount isn't removed from the totals.

What am I missing? My prices are set up to display the tax inclusive cost.

Hi, I have similar situation in Malaysia & Singapore, where we have to charge GST (Goods & Services Tax) to local buyers.

If buyers are from foreign countries, then it is zero tax but we have to take out the GST portion from the product price (which is tax inclusive).

For example, product A's price is $10.60 (6% tax inclusive) and this is also the price being charged for local buyers. If foreign buyers, then the price becomes $10.00 ($0.60 is tax and removed from the product price).

I have tried several methods in NopCommerce 4.0 but could not identify a correct way to setup the mentioned tax behavior. I am wondering if you manage to find a way to resolve the issue in New Zealand?

Yes, we have worked it by adding a disount that applies for overseas addresses. So the discount is the tax portion taken off the order subtotal and the requirement is the 'shipping country is' where we have put in all the countries.

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks for the updates, that would be one of the workaround.
