I have been digging into an issue where taxes are not being calculated and show 0% in the cart and check out process.
I am helping a friend with there site as the person that helped them out initially is not longer able to help due a new job. So I apologize im slightly green but have had time to review a lot of setup and coming up blank on whats wrong.
I have been checking into the products to insure they have taxes turned on.This appears to be fine
Possible issues Im finding:
The issue I am finding after watching the tax setup videos by NOP is I do not see anything in Tax Providers. Its blank.
Tax Settings from (Configurations-Settings-Tax Settings) are set up as follows right now:
Default tax category = General
Tax based on = Default Address
Tax based on pickup point address = OFF
Default tax address (used for tax calculation) = ON 9checked)
Country = United States
State / province = IL
Zip / postal code = 60012

Tax dispaying
Allow customers to select tax display type = Off
Tax display type =Excluding Tax
Prices include tax = Off (not checked)
Display tax suffix =ON (checked)
Display all applied tax rates =ON (checked)
Hide zero tax =OFF (unchecked)
Hide tax in order summary =OFF (unchecked)
Force tax exclusion from order subtotal =OFF (unchecked)
Does anyone have some guidance you can provide? Frustrated and not understand why things are not working.
