SEOs and nopcommerce

I want to know a bit more about SEO keywords in NOPCommerce.
If I modify the manufacturer keywords, could I potentailly then leave the products without keywords and would the keywords behave from the manufacturers seo keywords to the products keywords?

Also can this be done to categories too?
