how do you run the upgrade script over sql CE database ?

really struggling with this -

how do you upgrade the compact database to the next version of nop ?

I can't connect to the compact database using sql management studio ( get a couple of warnings - (1) need a password and (2) not supported - even though all latest updates have been applied


I can connect to the database using vs2012 but get an error when I try to run the upgrade script

'The Declare SQL construct or statement is not supported.'


can anybody throw some light on this for me,

Facing a similar issue. any help would be appreciated. I don't have an sql server instance i can switch to right now.
