I am modifying the TopMenu.cshtml and I want to display the sub-categories together with images. Currently, the CategorySimpleModel does not allow me to do this.
Are there any way how I can have a menu where when hovering on categories, the sub-categories will be displayed together with the image?
Maybe you will be interested in this plugin. You can see its demo here. And if you take a look at its administration under the Category Menu Settings you will find a setting called Category menu template, which allows you to choose the way your categories show. One of the ways is with pictures - you can see it in action here.
I want sub-categories only, not the categories. Basically, the menu will be with all categories and when hover, the sub-categories together with the image will be displayed.
So instead of Products, Manufacturers, My account etc, I can have my categories listed in the menu and when hover I can display the sub-categories with pictures.

Hi,
Yes, this is one of the ways you can set up the Mega Menu. You can make each category as a top level menu item and then show all its subcategories with their pictures as a dropdown.
I don't sell Products...only Services. However I really like NOPCOMMERCE. Is there a way to modify the menu to say 'Services' instead of 'Products'? Or any other way to make NOPCOMMERCE a Service oriented ecommerce website?
