Notification e-mail on receiving Private Message

I guess there should be a notification e-mail prompting the user that he/she have received a private message. Currently there is no e-mail notification by which user remains unaware of the fact that he/she has got a message in his/her inbox unless he/she logs into the website and check the inbox.

+1 I'd be really grateful if this could be added in to 1.8 Andrei. I don't always notice the number next to Inbox nor do I log in every day and I've already replied late to a couple of people who wrote to me.
