Since loading individual products from administration is a very slow and lengthy process, importing the products and its fields from excel tends to be a better, faster choice. But, some of the fields from Excel (export) are not as straight forward to determine whether the fields are automatically generated or it is required to manually input (ie. productID, enter date, etc.). When importing from excel, does every ongoing new products require new excel spreadsheet or can you continue from the same list that was previously entered? If continue from previous generated excel, will it overwrite and causes problem to the database?
How about a screencasts for importing data from excel with hightlights of important fields that need attention?

This is an ongoing topic we all face. It is vey difficult when there are thousands of products and the column names dont match.
