Is it a must to have Visual Studio installed on the server where the site is located?

I am using nopCommerce 3.90.

I had some issues according Visual Studio, it gave error saying Reinstall of Visual Studio is required. So, I have unistalled Visual Studio now. Site was not opening and after somewhile by some miracle site started working... But it is very slow!

So, is it a must to have Visual Studio on the server where I host my site? My server is Windows Server 2012 R2.

How to improve the site speed? It is very slow(

Hello,

It is not at all necessary to install visual studio in order to run nopCommerce on IIS. You simply must have latest .net framework version and IIS installed on your system.

However, this document is now upgraded for nopCommerce 4.0
