I have installed version 1.8 and reviewed and attempted all the scenerios in this previous post to try and determine why when I click 'Manage Products' and 'Add New', i get a blank page except for a 'Save' button:

If i clicked the 'Save' button, i get field required message, however no fields are visible on the screen. The IE browser is outputting this error if i view the page error from the lower left status bar:
