The big challenge behind the Autoplicity was to create the largest automotive offering of parts that was easy to sort through for any consumer with lightning fast performance and search. This required a constant flow of building new features to enrich the shopping experience including having live inventory, geo targeted product delivery to keep ship times to a minimum, automation in order processing to ensure items would ship same day, an accurate vehicle finder that would match parts perfectly, as well as many other customizations. This also required a custom order management system to integrate with the sites robust feature sets, multi-channel integration and other business specific integrations.
In 2011 Intelypse created the first store version based on nopCommerce 1.90. Later in 2015, the site was upgraded to nopCommerce 3.50. Throughout this time, a myriad of customizations was launched to improve performance and launch new feature sets demanded by the growing market. The store is still being improved continuously. With the efforts in place since launch, Autoplicity was able to scale quickly as a business with a growth of over 20 times fundamentally relying upon the improvements made from above. The challenges were met with robust solutions which focused heavily on automation on the backend to power the order lifecycle. Autoplicity today is able to run very lean on resources from all the automations and improvements it has invested in since its inception in 2011.
