Are instructions available on how to upgrade from v1.2 to v1.3?

Has anyone done the upgrade and documented the process?

Thanks,
Sam

Upgrade instructions ANYWHERE?

I need to perform my first upgrade (from 1.5 to 1.6 for now).

However, I've searched high and low through the nopcommerce site, and can't find, even generally, instructions on HOW to upgrade!

I've also downloaded the 1.6 files, thinking that there might be a README for upgrading, or perhaps an upgrade folder, but to no avail.

Note: I did notice that the in Install\Scripts\1.60 folder, there's a nopCommerce_upgrade.sql script. I assume this takes care of any changes to the database, but doesn't impart any info as to whether there are ALSO file changes that need to be upgraded too.

HELP! (i.e. please post, even at a very general level, upgrade instructions!)

Thanks!

Here is the Video tutorial for upgrading nopCommerce from lower to higher version:

Rather than foraging various comments throughout the forums, I was looking for the basic, "in general, here's how to perform an upgrade" in text format.

Anyway, after reviewing the video (I'm more of a written text kind of guy), this is what I inferred the upgrade process is. Can somebody confirm if this is correct?

1. Make backups of both SQL Server database and all files.
2. Make note of the connection settings in web.config
3. Delete the website’s files
4. Extract and then copy the new version’s files to the website folder
5. Browse to /Install/Install.aspx
6. Afterward, copy any customized files (e.g. themes), from the backup location to the website.

It may or may not be that simple if you made modifications.

You may need to incorporate any changes you've made into to the new code rather than just replace the files with yours.
