When nopCommerce will move to MVC ? I mean the main website?
Also I think is time to refresh existing nopCommerce website design =)

Does anyone agree with this?

There's no need to move it to MVC today. The existing design will also not be changed in the near time. Why?

I don't have anything against nopCommerce It's just my interest about MVC. And I just think that is time to make nopCommerce website a bit more modern as you moving forward with the technology but not with the design. =)

I agree witht he redesign. (moving to mvc is a case of 'if it aint broke' ). But there should be a redesign. The nopcommerce website is functional and good for developers (or guys like me who want an easy off the shelf solution for clients). However instead of trying to white label it we actually use the fact the solution runs on nopcommerce as a selling point.

The more people who can do this the more it will grow. End users need the WOW factor when they arrive, they really dont know about the code or function or robustness. In basic advertising the system has to sell itself. The more end shop owners who can be interested the better it will grow.

A clean overhaul and attractive main website would be a huge enhancement in growth of the webiste.

If youd ont want to do the design yourself, why not just put it out there as a competition?? We could easily donate something for the prize and I am sure others would as well. Hell loads of designers would submit it for no reason whatsoever.

just my 8 cents worth. (8 becuase its about 4 times longer than it needs to be) :)

Also the backend design. Unfrotunately light is new. Dark colour schemes dont really do it for the end customer. We have completely recoloured and the back end and have to say it looks good. Clients really like it.

@Simon , Have you completely redesign the admin menu including teleric theme??

Yes....that was fun :(

Their themes use one big image and just show different parts of it?????? But there are other colours in there if that is all you are after. We wanted something more to match the new look. Also we had to change all the help files/links to point to our site and added some others tot he menus including upgrades/extras/addons. We also adding all the pop-up help tips for all the different sections so clients can learn as they go.

This is VERY popular. Also the FAQ's pulled from a repositery as and when people ask questions about everything from increasing sales to SEO and offsite marketing.

Ecommerce and website building isnt our main business so we are trying to cut down on interaction with clients by providing information at their fingertips

OH Forgot to mention, One of the guys is now working (should be finished in 3-4 weeks) repositioning everything in the menu. The main menu can be moved to the side or existing position or floated at the top in a full screen view (for tablets) and another view designed specifically to manage your website from a smartphones (which is dumping telerik altogether)

SOOOO Many clients have asked for this. (we have only just really changed to nop since 2.2 but it was a must in the last packages)

Simon , can you change the teleric themes coz i in the source code there were 3-4 themes for teleric but i cant see any option for changing the current theme , or do we have to start from the scratch , I am also looking for something like FAQ which can really be a helpful for the clients, the manual is some how difficult for the client to understand.

Everything you need to alter the theme is in the folder. All the CSS and images are in there. You can change them as you need. Important thing is the CSS and image files withing the folder. Remeber images in css are relative to the CSS file.

For an easy way open the files in photoshop and change them. Second easiest is to create you own and refernce them in the css file that telerik uses.

Third and most difficult is to just changeout the control from the pages. I will need to check with craig on how he did it. (sorry on advice from A.M, hired myself a bunch of dev gurus who specialise in MVC 3.0 as the code was beyond me) But pretty sure we havent had to do anything with source code. I did the first one and it was relatively simple....just time consuming.

The FAQ's and also I suggest having '?' next to almost everything as popups to help clients. These are the most useful and immediately available to clients. Its going to take us a while but I will send them too you once we are done. As we also have to do it in italian, french, german, japanese and russian.
