PayPal Express. Reasons to add as a standard payment method

I have installed and configured the plugin succesfully, set it to active, but the paypal button does not show up on the payment screen. Is there something obvious that I am missing?

I downloaded the plugin from http://noppaypalexpress.codeplex.com/ and modified to make it working with NOP 3.0.

It used to work great, but for various reasons my client decided to switch to PayPal Direct and PayPal standard. Now we decided to go back to PayPal Express, but it does not work any more - I'm getting:

11813 | Callback URL is wrong type. | Callback URL is wrong type; you must use the HTTPS.

I didn't have HTTPS before, when it was working fine, nothing really has changed since then. I've been starring at it for hours but can't figure out what's wrong. Does anybody have any idea? If it's the "Transfer Shipping Options" option, then where can I set it?

And thanks for the great plugin, I hope PayPal express will get included in the standard package at some point.

I have had no luck, I sent a message to last developer , but no reply!
I tried runing 2.8 by updating the vesrion and got simular errors.

I am also using standrad , which is a real pain since NOP takes the order without payment. IF THE END USER DECICES NOT LOGIN TO PALPAL AND PAY, then you have to chase them down for payment. NO WAY TO RUN A BIZ.

Just found that PayPal Express plugin keep the values in database in clean text. Data that have to be totaly secured is not encrypted in any way. That's inacceptable at all!!
