NopCommerce Multi-Store & Future

I'm not sure what the situation is with this, but I really like the new nopCommerce and I like developing with it.

However my problem is that the business I work for has several stores already and new ones planned, so constantly having to create a new solution for a new store and support it is a pain, and keep supporting all the different old versions.

Ideally I'd love to have one single install of nopCommerce that I could run all the stores on (With different style front ends)  for different domains (With SSL), share products across stores if needed and easily create a new store whenever I need to.

What is the likely hood of this happening with nopCommerce?  I know multi-store has been asked for 100's of times since version 1 - But I'm just wondering if I now need to start looking away from nopCommerce or wait for an upcoming release?

Look forward to hearing your views on this

Currently we're working on the mobile devices support. There are also a lot of other tasks which should be implemented before multustore support. I can say that this feature (multistore) will not be implemented in the near several months.

Just wondering what it is you are doing for mobile support?  Personally I think mobile support can be done by the front end developer using media queries and a few other tricks.

Again I really think you are missing a trick with the multi-store support, I have been using Nop for some time now and know that 100's people have been asking for it since the product was launched.

And I suspect the vast majority moved on because they could see if wasn't forthcoming (I know of two people that actually added it themselves, but were then pretty put off as they knew they could never upgrade their version)...

As the product stands now, its very good - But it will never challenge Magento or some of the other commercial eCommerce platforms because it doesn't have this feature.

(Again in my opinion) I really think you are under estimating how important this feature is, and even though I think its great you are focusing on mobile (Again even though I think this can easily be achieved via media queries and a bit of time) the most important feature Nop needs to be focusing is multi-store.

I could go into more reasons, but thats just my two pence worth :)

Agree, but it requires a lot amount of time. See the progress here

I agree that multi-store is important. But this task is the most complex task. It'll require several months to finish it. I'm sure that it's better to fix all issues first, implement a lot of other suggested enhancements and only then start working on multi-store support.
