Hi,

I'm pretty new to Nop Commerce. I have similar problems to upload my sitemap to google. I had read from beginning to end of the discussion on this topic, but couldn't find the root cause for my problem.

My website www.tmallcanada is developed on Nop Commerce 3.1, and I can only access the sitemap in the following format through web browser

http://www.tmallcanada.com/en/sitemapseo

So when I tried to test my sitemap using the above link, I got error "Your Sitemap appears to be an HTML page. Please use a supported sitemap format instead."

So I tried the following two formats as mentioned in the discussion thread, but I got Error "Page not found"

http://www.tmallcanada.com/en/sitemapseo.aspx
http://www.tmallcanada.com/en/sitemap.xml

Can someone help me on this!

Thanks a lot!

Hi Grace,

It can be found here on demo site: http://demo.nopcommerce.com/sitemap.xml

This is implemented in nopCommerce 3.40. Previously the xml sitemap url was at /sitemapseo. So for you it's available at http://www.tmallcanada.com/en/sitemapseo

Hope it helps.

Thanks & Best Regards

Thank you very much Krunal for your info. Now I understand why I can only browse my sitemap through the url below http://www.tmallcanada.com/en/sitemapseo

But if google complain that it is in HTML format, How I can change it to xml format?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Google won't complain that the /sitemapseo (<3.4) or /sitemap.xml (3.4+) is html because the sitemap is dynamically generated with the response type text/xml so it will definitely be xml. What you would have found is that you were sending google to the incorrect sitemap url which redirects to a 404 for is a html page.

Hi Grace,

Glad it helped.

This URL http://www.tmallcanada.com/en/sitemapseo generates XML sitemap. Please delete older Sitemap from your Google Webmaster account and then add this. If you face any error pls share. We'll be happy to help.

Thanks,
Krunal
