just an fyi on rich snippets - I manually added support for schema.org snippets added these to our older 2.4 version store. for a long time i thought something must be wrong, because google would never change our serps to show the rich versions. Well, I finally have success (not sure why it took all that time).

You can see a demo of this by googling "Fibur Barrel" and you'll see http://deadlywind.com show up in the list with categories (Barrels) and the fibur barrel listing.

Anyone else have success with rich snippets? I beleive one of the recent versions included this by default.

And here we go. Please see changeset ee4cf473a13a

BTW, you did not properly implement breadcrumb support. They do not appear in Rich Snippet Tool when I test http://www.deadlywind.com/p/88/fibur-cf-barrel

i actually do show them listed in the testing tool, as subitems under the "webpage" portion...?

Right. But it's not properly displayed under "Preview" box. Just compare your results in Rich Snippet Tool with this demo page (http://demo.nopcommerce.com/etnies-mens-digit-sneaker)

true, but it looks like google is actually in error with this - they havent updated the testing tool to correctly show the newer schema.org formats instead of the older data-vocabulary ones. They are still validly parsed by teh actual search engine though.

Does this work effectively with multi-variant products? If you have multiple variants that have different prices, will Google display the price as $xx.xx - $yy.yy on the search results page?

In order to make full use of this feature, we may have to completely revamp our data. For instance, our Variant names simply describe the variant, they're not really a full description of the product and variant. I'm not sure if this type of incomplete data might be more harmful than good in our case.
