My mobile version is different from the furniture theme.
Do you mean jQuery mobile theme? Its support was dropped in version 3.40. Please note that it was not a feature of Furniture theme. It was a nopCommerce built-in functionality which is not supported anymore. Furtniture theme has its own responsive design

Under Mobile store theme in General and Miscellaneous Setting it is set to Mobile Theme.  It does not give me options for any other theme.

The desktop theme is set to Furniture.

Mobile store theme was jQuery Mobile based one. Its support was dropped in version 3.40.Please note reponsive design also supported mobile devices. It's much better!

Furniture theme supports responsive design (not jQuery mobile one) since version 3.10. So you should not use "Mobile store theme" in General and Miscellaneous Setting even in version 3.10. It's recommended to disable "Mobile devices supported" checkbox in General and Miscellaneous Setting when using Furniture theme

So simply upgrade to version 3.50 and use Furniture theme with responsive design which any mobile device.

Oh that's a shame. I was just in process of upgrading from 3.4 to 4.0 and have been using furniture theme for long time now. Are you able to provide guidance on any major changes to require update? Will I be able to use version 3.9 (maybe with tweaks). If I can upgrade succesful ly myself then I am more than happy to share it with others.
