Keep getting redirected to the login page

I have the software installed and I can login in without a problem. I go to the admin page and try and save any page and I get redirected back to the login page and it does not save the admin page I was on. When I login I go back to the page I was on but it is blank.
Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

I found the fix was to add a machine key to the web.config file.
