Product attribute and stock quantity

Hi to all.
I'm not able to configure correctly my products attribute and I don't know if it's my error or NOP limit.
Take as examples NOP demo web site.
"Build your own computer" products have many attributes, take as example the CPU.
I create two new products: E2200 and E2400 CPU. Both have stock quantity handling, first stock quantity is 5 pcs and second is 8 pcs.
"Build your own computer" have stock quantity also, 10pcs.
CPU Attribute is "associated to product", not "simple". Association is with E2200 and E2400 CPU.

In this configuration NOP accept 9pcs "Build your own computer" order. It correctly handle stock quantity on all products.
E2200 CPU stock go to -4pcs!
Is it possible to block this order keeping stock handling on all 3 products?

Please consider that E2200 is also sold separately and it does have sense to keep stock quantity. Same for "Build your own computer".

i know you can do it on stock variants but i dont think you can do it on specifications. you might have to do it as a variant

have a look at mine www.gift[for]acoach.com.au take out the brackets.

i had originally footys setup as each colour as a variant but now i do them as a separate product to make it easier

Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunatelly we cannot use separeted products.
We sell led light profile. Differente profile use same PVC cover (we cannot sell separately).
We have 3 different PVC and 7 profile.
Now happen that profile X with cover A is out of stock because cover A is "allocate" on profile Y.

New attribute handling is perfect for our products. Unfortunatelly NOP does not handle correctly stock quantity
and does not check real attribute availability.

I think this is a NOP bug.
