Who could know how tricky facebook can be.

Buying likes it's something common. But buying followers - that's something from fraud area

Yeah it's disappointing, so much hard work goes into building a facebook fan group. When now the only way to communicate with them is via boosted posts.

it's a lot deeper than that guys.  Facebook does not allow you to buy likes either, and they have deleted millions of fake like sites.   to complicate things, they are extremely ANTI click or link-farms so they shut those accounts down... so. guess what the cheats do to go undetected.  they click like on millions of crap sites and companies so that when the comnpanies that pay them for likes get their likes they don't look like "fake" likes.    guess where these people find your site, from you boosting your posts or paying for more likes from guess who?   FACEBOOK!!!!   So facebook is unintentionally perpetuating fake likes that are worthless to you, and they are actually MORE than worthless,

When you put out a post, Facebook randomly sends it to a section of your "likes"  but since your likes are now inundated with fake likes from fake accounts, it's a good chance a large percentage of those 400 views that went out, went out to fake pages.

There is a lot of info about it online.

Even more interesting, recently tried to boost a post on our fan page to the subscribers, facebook suggested that it will reach maximum of 280 subscribers instead of the actual subscribers numbers(which is alot more). What i think is happening facebook boost post only to the active accounts which use facebook for example once a week at least.

I faced the same issue with one client's page. Usually fb is now focusing on monetizing and this is one way to get revenues for them! I see nothing wrong in boosting a post with a paid ad, but it shouldn't restrict posts to existing fans!
