Is it possible to create Online Multi-Vendor Marketplace to build my own online shopping mall? I want to create a marketplace full of a variety of products offering by different vendors. Where each vendor can log into their portal to list products, update their information and manage their orders. Me as a marketplace owner can create product categories and manage the marketplace with my own administration area. So is it possible to do from your CMS features as vevocart.com is providing in its VevoCart Multi-Vendor Marketplace Edition.

Hi,

Yes, it's supported. Please find more info about it here (http://docs.nopcommerce.com/display/nc/Multi-vendor+Support) and here (http://docs.nopcommerce.com/display/nc/Setting+up+a+Vendor+)

Marketplace
That has multiple Vendors
•  Each vendor has his Categories and products
•  Product appears on vendor store sub-domain of the vendor and main domain
•  each vendor has his own credit card merchant account that he collects the money from the sale

to associate the credit card merchant account / payment method with the vendor and his products

to associate the credit card merchant account / payment method with the vendor and his products

1. Each vendor has his  products =>possible

2. Each vendor has his Categories ==>out of box

3. Product appears on vendor store sub-domain of the vendor and main domain==>Possible (product will display vendor page)

4. each vendor has his own credit card merchant account that he collects the money from the sale =>out of box

Note : In case of "out of box" you will need to customize to achieve it.

I have the following problem.

planning to create sub domain/store for each vendor, allow the vendor to upload/create products only for that store?

Please let me know if it is possible?

Cheers,
Kiran

It is out of box. If you want to do this, I think your will need to limit store for vendor like product and others modification.

I want to create a marketplace for content which will be contributed by anyone who wants to sign up and upload his creations. When site visitors access that content (either by buying a subscription or paying for single-access), the content author should get a percentage of the revenue credited to his account.
Once a configurable min. withdrawal amount has accumulated on the account, the content author should be able to transfer funds to his/her bank account.

Are there any plugins out there to support this commissions-based business model?
