marking order as 'complete'

couple of points here regarding how to mark an order complete


1) new pick up in store option

seems we can't mark the order as complete unless we go through the process of creating a shipment, set as shipped, set as delivered etc.


should we need to do this for pick up instore ? Shouldn't it be marked complete once it's paid - alternatively add 'order collected button' ?

even for shipped orders, i'm sure the current implementation is useful for some people but it might  be a long winded process for others (i'd rather it was just marked complete once it was paid without coming back into the order )



as a suggestion, we could have a 'mark as complete' button on the order page that would bypass this (both of the above) - maybe this could bring up a dialog box mentioning the fact that no shipment has been created with a 'continue yes/no' option.


perhaps the above could be implemented based on a setting so users can choose to use the current process or the above suggestion ?

Hi Hayden,

It's by design. We cannot complete an order until it's "delivered" to a customer. But appropriate work item already exists. Please find more info and vote here
