Hi,
I'm new to nopCommerce. Doing a search, I see there are a few live chat plugins. I only saw one free one with negative reviews for the free version.
Can anyone recommend a good, relatively cheap chat add-on? Please include prices or links to where prices are displayed.

you can use tawk.to for live chat. It is free and has awesome features like monitoring/android app/manage user/chat with internal team and so many.
You just have to sign up and and add the code generated by tawk.to into your _ColumnOne.cshtml and _CokumnTwo.cshtml
I am using it on my NewKirana.com.

I downloaded TAWK.To and it is really a great program. I also tried NOP ROCKS and it is also very good, but simple (easy to install and good customer service).
I have a question with Tawk. One needs to place a script on the page that you want the pop-up CHAT to occur. I placed it on the Home Page wwwroot\views\home\index.cshtml ... it works great.
However, if the customer steers away from that page he looses the pop up. Tawk says to place the script on each page you want. I tried wwwroot\views\product\productreviews.cshtml and it works. That is, it pops up when you navigate to any specific product.
Specifically, it disappears when you leave Home Page while you navigate to a particular product page the re-appears when you get to the product.
IS There a category to place the script whereby the Chat Pop up will remain? I am thinking, for example, wwwroot\views\catalog\categorynavigation .... or, categorytemplate, etc.

Just put that script _Root.cshtml which is placed in views->shared folder(in your theme).
