I'm currently just on the trial version. Will probably be doing the ".net Premium" or ".net Advance"

I am severely disappointed in Arvixe, and even more disappointed that despite many complaints about the company, nopCommerce still shows them as a "recommended" host.

They did a fairly decent job of hosting up until roughly mid-September when everything went to hell. Frequent unexplained outages that would last over an hour, resulting in the inability of anyone to get into my website, and even the e-mail servers were off-line.

Things really went south last month when they decided to move IP addresses around on their servers. My website was down for four days until the IP addresses managed to propogate through the system, no access to e-mail either.

And on-and-off since then, my website has been inaccessible for hours at a time, sometimes with a 404 error, sometimes with a "connection refused" error.

It is incomprehensible to me how a company that's business model revolves around hosting websites cannot do their job responsibly. Their support sucks, when I reported the outage last month, it actually took them over three weeks before they responded with a work ticket number and wanting to know if I was still having problems.

Fortunately, my annual contract with them expires next month, and you can be certain that it will not be renewed.

I **STRONGLY** recommend that nopCommerce stop giving this company free advertising as a "Recommended Hosting Company for nopCommerce".

I could've written this verbatim.

September 14, my site was down for nearly 24 hours.  A week later I received an, "Are you still having issues because the site is working for us?", email from Arvixe.  Seriously???  I even demanded to be informed of the root cause of the outage and was ignored.

October 15, the exact same outage with nearly the exact same outcome except that the BS email from Arvixe took two weeks to arrive.

Yesterday, November 11, my site went dark at 4 AM CST and it's even worse this time.  Our mail server is offline, we can't RDP into our VPS, and our customers are seeing "ERR_NAME_RESOLUTION_FAILED".  Zero response from Arvixe as usual.

My website is my livelihood and Arvixe is literally costing me thousands of dollars.  If the squeaky wheel gets some grease then please help get my site back online.

I was going to go buy some ninja gear this morning, but the site was down. I ended up going to Ninjas-R-Us. Good luck with getting your site back up.

Surprisingly, my second site with Arvixe is Linux based as went down yesterday. I sent in a support request (since their chat system is broken) and they responded within 1.5 hours and got the site back up again. Still planning on moving both sites from their servers though.

LOL, groundzero!  But it looks like their site is down too. ;)  Best of luck with future hosting, my friend.

I am quite sure that ArchVixen pays quite well for their sales plug right there on the Nop admin rightside bar advertisement.
Evil as this may seem to be, these funds likely go to help NopCommerce development, so I am okay with it.
I just know better (through personal experience), and community members are sharing experiences so uninformed members can know better as well.
I say keep taking ArchVixen money NOP. Use the funding well.
And PLEASE give us back 3 column support in Nop V3.6

Cheers!

We are currently offering some cloud hosted DotNet accounts on our Azure D2 server. We want to see how well the Azure D2 plan scales out before needing to go D3. Current D2 server is provisioned USA East, and only hosting a few sites. Will take on a few more clients depending on how server load looks. Will spool up another D2 as needed for USA West. Not looking for clients outside USA, or who would need server provisioned outside USA.

We are offering this as a free trial, and will not charge or invoice for any services until after January 1, 2016.
If you are not completely happy with performance, support, or any other reason, feel free to cancel and slam us here on the NOP forum. LOL!

Pease refer to our TOS and AUP before requesting a trial account.
PM me for details.

If I saw this title, I would not regret at the present. I've just made the one year plan with Arvixe. And I got the problem with database restore error.

Their support are so bad & the error could not been resolved.

Cannot open backup device
'C:\Users\WPServer\AppData\Local\Temp\fed771ec-f37a-43b6-914b-686ec0b144a1\PhuongNam-Web-13Nov15-10PM46.bak'.
Operating system error 5(Access is denied.).

My error above, I think due to their SQL Server permission grant. But they did not resolve it for me. So disapointed.

In my case, can I get back the money I've transfered to them.

Yes, you are correct in thinking that error would be due to server permissions, as it is trying to create the back-up to the server c: drive in a hidden system temp folder which should have permissions set up for WP Users (WP is Website Panel server component), or pointing to a different folder with correct user permissions set up. I typically direct database back-ups to a volume on a storage server. It makes no sense to have user back-ups going to the c: drive on a server (especially if it is a VM).

The back-up location is configured by the server admin in SQL Management Studio.  Should be a very simple task to fix your problem, but your hosting provider would need to do it.

C:\Users\WPServer\AppData\Local\Temp\... is very odd path for restore.  Are you being prompted to enter a source path?  (what are you entering?  where did you upload your .bak file to?)
