Multi store hide whole manufacturer catalog

I noticed that when I turn off a manufacturer for a particular store, the manufacturer is removed from the menu, but the manufacturer's products remain visible. Same goes for categories. What I expect is that if I turn off a manufacturer or category for a store the whole of his products become hidden. Can this be achieved without customization?

You can do it only with the source code modifications.
