Hello,

My SEO contractor says I need to have these header tags on my pages.

I'm using NOP 3.5 - where do I add these so I can optimize my site?

Thanks for any help,
Dave

Hey Dave,

He's right for a number of reasons not just from a SEO POV*.

v3.5 you say?  You can add them into your content pages (topics) but in that version they should already be in the product templates if I'm not mistaken.  Need to do a fresh install of 3.5 to check.

*you need heading tags for accessibility compliance as well.  Screen readers and keyboard users navigation by page structure not to mention users with dementia.  Look up the term Semantic HTML in Google (or Bing) for more information.

Hope this helps.

You've got them on most pages it's just the home page that Nopc does not add it as standard, I added mine through the HomePageText Topic(Pages)

QEDDave,

Just to clarify, are you talking about content pages (topics),those in the products/category/manufacturers pages (templates), or all pages?

Hello and sorry for the late reply.

My impression from the discussion with the SEO guy is that I need to add the <H1> etc to the Category and the Product pages as I have added some to the Home page.

The only way I see to do the above is to manually add the HTML to the Body of the descriptions.

Does this make sense?

Thanks,
Dave

Found it.  It was a typo in your post.

Did a search for Milwaukee Drills and found your site.

I'll have a look shortly.

Hi Dave,

Sent you a PM with some initial feedback and thoughts.

It also contains some broken links and 'We're sorry, an internal error occurred.' pages.  You may want to get these fixed ASAP.

Good luck.
