Uprade from 3.0 to 3.8 causing categories problems SOLVED

Hi All,

I just upgraded a site and having a big issue.

Example: Category BMW >> BMW 1 Serie >> E81-88 2003-2010 >> Spareparts>> Filters >> Fuelfilter

The fuelfilter has category mapping: BMW >> BMW 1 Serie >> E81-88 2003-2010 >> Spareparts>> Filters >> Fuelfilter

The old 3.00 did only show the product in BMW >> BMW 1 Serie >> E81-88 2003-2010 >> Spareparts>> Filters >> Fuelfilter

BUT after upgrade the products shows also on BMW, BMW 1 serie, E81-88 2003-2010, SPareparts, Filters

This is giving a hugh performance issue.

Is this a settings problem somewhere?

SOLUTION: The setting catalogsettings.showproductsfromsubcategories was set to TRUE after the upgrade, after settings to False it´s running like a charm again :-)
