35,000+ SKUs

We are exploring some .NET based open source e-Commerce solutions that we would want to host on our Azure cloud.
The inventory in terms of product categories, sub-categories would be huge (say, 35,000 SKUs to begin with, across categories and sub categories) and would continue to grow.
Kindly let us know if nopCommerce would serve the purpose. Any URL references of live nopCommerce stores with similar scope would be helpful.

56,000+ skus updated every 24 hours with new inventory feed from custom C#/VB.net programs that pull from a local DB that consumes a text file feed from our Warehouse system.

Performance is pretty normal.

Only major troubles are...
1. Getting sitemap.xml files to download without timing out.
2. Slow checkout time when there are 100+ skus in the shopping cart.
