Blog News Sort Order

Blog posts and News posts should not be displaying oldest to newest by default.  No one cares about what was written years ago.  So the newest post is always at the top, but the navigation for these features continues to display oldest first, newest last.  Of course that can be customized, but it is not standard practice and in a small implementation/no source project would sure be nice to have this work properly or at least configurable.

Hi ChrisK,

Could you please clarify what navigation are you talking about?

By default, the newest post is always at the top in nopCommerce blog and news section.

The logic honors start date (if available), if not then it is based on the creation date.

Yep no problem.  I understand the sort order of the blog/news pages is most recent on top, oldest at the bottom.  The navigation is specifically what I refer to.  That archive starts at oldest and ends at newest.  For prolific bloggers, this is relatively annoying as they/their readers have to scroll down to find more recent.  For newer sites, it makes it painfully obvious that the site has only been around for "x".

Am aware of how it works, just recommending a change.  Thank you very much.

Hi Chris,

Thanks. But the archive block is available for blog only (there's no such one for news). And this issue has also been sorted in version 3.80
