No Images Showing After Upgrade from 3.8 to 3.9

Hi,

I just upgraded my store eee.vkalart.com from nop3.8 to nop 3.9.

The website is opening now but there are no images showing on it. I have all the images saved in the file system same as 2.8 but these are not showing on website.

Can you please help with this.

Have you / can you still do a Product Export from the old site?   (Or do you have an old one?)
If so, in the new site, create a test product and add a picture, and then do an export of that product (Export to Excel selected) -  compare the value of the Picture1 field to an export of a product in the new site.  Are the file paths the same?

Thanks for your response, I can see the difference in the picture 1  field of the excel file downloaded.

Following are the values for different products:

Old Product:
..\vkalart.com\wwwroot\content\images\thumbs\default-image.png


Created New Product and Exported:

..\vkalart.com\wwwroot\content\images\thumbs\0001923_test.png


Can you please suggest, what can be done to resolve this issue.

I don't understand why you need to use Excel import/export to upgrade from 3.80 to 3.90.

Hi Woon,

I didn't use Excel for upgrade. It was just to see the Image URL in different products.

(Excel Export was not a part of up-gradation process )

After upgrade when I check the image URL's it is showing 'default image' everywhere.

I am using Nop since 3.6 version of it and this is first time I am facing this issue.

I am having the same issue.  I have been upgrading nopCommerce site from 1.9 all the way to 3.9 (for now) but between 3.8 and 3.9 the images disappear.

Were you able to resolve thia issue?  There is no error, the images just change to "no image".  The images are being saved to "File System" and are placed in the same location as 3.8.

I have this exact same problem. I just upgraded from 3.8 to 3.9 and when the site reloaded all the images were not showing. Each photo is now showing the default.png file. I have uploaded the images exactly as they were before in the old file structure and the database still has a table called PICTURES with all the images listed, but they will just not show in the website. How can I find out what is causing this and how to remedy it as there are hundreds of images that need to be replaced.

Also, the manual shipping by weight plugin is no longer installed and it will. not let me install it saying that it already exists in the database. There is weeks worth of manual shipping fees from around the world in there so how can I get them back?

Forget the shipping part of the last post, that was just me missing something obvious.

The images are still an issue though and they will not come back. How do I map the File system image storage to the product? Both are there but neither can see each other.

Did anyone find solution to this. I have same issue, after upgrading NoCommerce from 3.4 to 4.1 images oath have default-image.png instead of the actual ID. where can I change this so it will pick up correct path?

I Figured out in nopCommerce 4.1 the image path is actually in the wwwroot

/wwwroot/images
VS earlier version it was in
/content/images

I just had to move the images folder in the wwwroot folder and all images are now showing.
