Hello,

My messages are queued and then I go to Schedule Tasks and click run now which shows the Success date but the messages do not show as sent.

Any ideas?

Kind regards,
Dave

Look at one message detail - what is the "Sent attempts:"?  If "0", then the task must not be running correctly.  In any case, check the System > Log for any errors.

Thanks!

First message attempt = 3

Test message worked and was double checked earlier

System Log empty

Zero warnings

Did it used to work, and then stopped working?

Not sure, not sure thought it was setup and working but from the Queue looks like it never has so I've been also using MailChimp

I know this probably seems ridiculous, but are you un-checking the "Load not sent emails only" checkbox while on the Message Queue?

Good thought good thought but it is unchecked ... hmmm, I hate bugs like this and gotta get this sorted - ugh

So, do you still have a bunch of messages stuck in the queue?
I mean..when you click on "Load not sent messages only"..how many does it say are listed?

I'm just gonna guess that there was something about one of the messages that was sent which has essentially "locked out" further mail sending.

I'd try clearing out the oldest messages in the queue and trying a "Re-queue" on some of the most recent messages and see if anything happens.

Thanks Bud appreciate your time.

The "Sent On" field is totally blank.  The Test email works so not sure how to make this dog bark.

Here's a thought:
You said that when you click on the Run Now button on the scheduled task that no messages are being sent.
But...what does it show as the last success date when you DON"T manually click the button?
In other words..is the scheduled task failing to run every 5 minutes?

Try this:
Go to admin >> Content Management >> Message Templates >> Customer.WelcomeMessage (for example)

Edit the template and double-check that the account you have specified to send this message is a valid email..it could be different than the default account which is used to send the tests...
There is also a Test Template button on each message template page...try that and ensure that the account you specify to use is set up to allow relays on your mail server...or that it doesn't have a spam threshold that you might have inadvertently crossed...causing that particular account to become suspended.
If the account was temporarily suspended due to spam, for example, it would explain why you see no errors in nop and have no indication as to why they aren't being sent.
