Tiered Product Attributes

Is there a way to created tiered attributes? We are selling mattresses and I have created a grouped product page from which a customer can select mattress size and comfort level. Both of these attributes are required. We also want to offer box springs on the same page, as a non-required option. However, instead of opening the potential of customers ordering the wrong size, I want to create a condition that if they select Queen under size, they are only shown Queen sized box springs.

Another option would be to have a category with all the products and o the left filter for different product specifications (size, comfort,  price range, etc.). Example for which we used Nop Ajax Filters plugin but there are other plugins available
