As we all know, nopCommerce team has officially announced an MVP award at January 20, 2017.
and as per the MVP program page there are 12 different points to take to become an MVP. and further more they will be rewarding new MVPs each year at our annual conference nopCommerce Days.

But I saw that MVP page has been updated before an annual conference nopCommerce Days!
Yes, one new person has been added to the MVP section (Forum username: atulrungta)

I'm not quit sure for the reason behind, but Let's check some statistics about him:

Suggestions Post : 7
Bug Reported : 2
Actual bug count: 0
Promotional Post : 4
Other post : 28
Commercial help wanted post : 2
(please note , this are approx figures and vary than actual post counts, also did not considered an answer series)

Moreover, profile of that MVP doesn't display the MVP badge :(

I am totally Agreed with Divyang. Good research Man.

I also want to know the reason behind this.

@A.M are you willing to explain? So we all can understand things in detail.

Thanks.

Ok You are MVP. If in your company you are 10 owners then you all will be an MVP?

MVP means most valuable person. Its not sense like most valuable owners of the company.

If you want to be an MVP then you should help to community members on Community Forums => Development, General Support & HTML, XHTML, CSS, Design Questions etc

Did you review his profile ? Did you see any Extensions and themes by this user ?

Thanks,

Hi,

Divyang absolutely properly mentioned that as per the MVP program page there are 12 different points to take to become an MVP. Starting this year it's not given only for forums activity and support as it was done previous years. So please don't make conclusions based only on the forums activity

Sohel is also right about nopAccelarate. Atul is not the owner of the company. But actually he works there. And he made a lot for nopCommerce community development and promotion. Including plugins and themes, organization two meetups in India (in New Delhi and Surat), help with promotion of nopCommerce Days 2017, other forms of nopCommerce promotions.

In order to avoid confusing discussions about MVP we've decided to update the MVP page. Now Atul listing points to nopAccelarate profile and not his personal one

P.S. Actually there are two persons were added (not just one). The second one is Patryk Porabik (he's also not the owner of nop4you). And most probably it's not the final list for this year. So it's better to wait until nopCommerce Days 2017 (MVP award)

I'm disagree with you on this point. If He is not an owner of the company than how Sohel is right!
I would like to stay away from the topics which I don't know, and that's what I suggested him.

I cannot pointed out any other person because I really don't know him. I'm former employee of nopAccelarate and that's why I'm very sure about the things.

When something done like this type of event then credit should not goes to single person. May be whole nopAccelerate team work for same.

So it's right decision.

MVP stands for Most Valuable Person (not a company). But the company also was awarded with partner points

Promotions among its clients. For example, dedicated newsletters with invitations to the conference to the entire client base. We also constantly have active discussions with Atul in skype about better marketing of nopCommerce and community growing. And some of his advices are very helpful

Thanks for the clarification! IMHO, you should add those points to the MVP section as well.

The point of discussion is update properly whether is it developer doc. section or MVP section
