Use my shipping account

Hello,

Is there a way to have the choice "Ship using my account" then choose the provider (dicom, fedex, UPS, etc...) then enter my account number.

So No shipping fee will be charged on the invoice of my store ?

There is no built-in way to do this, and it becomes problematic when you think it all the way through....

The rates displayed to the customer would be based on whatever rate the customer gets from the carrier.
You, however, must call the carrier to pick up at your location or drop off at the carrier office...and you will be charged whatever rates that you are entitled to. Or if you use ShippingEasy or ShipWorks to generate the labels and ship, you still pay whatever rate YOU normally pay.

So, you might let a customer pay $10, but it actually costs you $15 to ship it...

Each external shipping plugin (FedEx, UPS, etc) has its own configuration for account information and it requires customization to change that.  However, if the customer is using his account then he is paying the shipping directly.  What I did for a client was to create a custom shipping provider plugin that allowed the customer to enter their account #, and the calculated shipping rate is 0 - because the customer pays the shipping (although the plugin allows an optional fee to be configured).  The customer's provider/account number then appears as the Shipping Method Name in the admin/order/shipping so that the store owner can set up the shipment with the carrier.  (The customer's account numbers are also stored in his "My Account" so that he can add/edit them.)

I would be interested in that "Use My Shipping Account" plugin for v3.90.  I looked on noptools.com, but did not see it listed.  I have a customer that I set up Shipping Director for and they want to allow their customers to use their own shipping accounts.
