What to do so that last product added to appear first in category?

After I add a product in any category it's normal to appear first when you enter that category.
Still last products added in whatever category do not appear first in that category.
What to do so that last product added to a category to appear first(top, first in line) in that category? Then the next added to be the first one and the previous one added to be second and so on...

Order by date from settings DO NOT WORK because some of the products appear as being added in 1980 (why?) and other appear as being added correctly.

Help, please.
