Nop 3.90 to 4.00 - Empty Cart and No Admin Link

I just upgraded to nop 4.00 and now when I try to log in it just redirects me to the home page and i have to keep logging in. If I go to /admin then it takes me to the dashboard.

Likewise, when I add an item to the cart it says "added to cart" but when I click my cart, it's empty...

well....this is a new one. I had to "force ssl on all pages"...once I did that the site works like a charm!...thoughts?
